Dvaja vedci poch\u00e1dzaj\u00faci zo Spojen\u00e9ho kr\u00e1\u013eovstva pracuj\u00faci v In\u0161tit\u00fate Johna Innesa boli poveren\u00ed \u00falohou vytvori\u0165 jednotn\u00fa zmes na v\u00fdsev a pestovanie v kvetin\u00e1\u010doch, ktor\u00e1 by umo\u017enila v\u0161etk\u00fdm rastlin\u00e1m, ktor\u00e9 vzi\u0161li zo \u0161\u013eachtite\u013esk\u00fdch programov, dosiahnu\u0165 po\u017eadovan\u00fd rast a vlastnosti. To viedlo k vytvoreniu dnes u\u017e zn\u00e1mych \u201eJohn Innes \u2013 v\u00fdsevn\u00fdch a pestovate\u013esk\u00fdch zmes\u00ed\u201d, ktor\u00fdch z\u00e1kladom bola sterilizovan\u00e1 zmes hliny, ra\u0161eliny a piesku s obsahom z\u00e1kladn\u00fdch hnoj\u00edv v primeranom mno\u017estve. Tieto z\u00e1kladn\u00e9 zmesi sa stali \u0161tandardom, s ktor\u00fdm sa nesk\u00f4r za\u010dalo pracova\u0165. Nesk\u00f4r sa do t\u00fdchto zmes\u00ed za\u010dali prid\u00e1va\u0165 zv\u00fd\u0161en\u00e9 d\u00e1vky hnoj\u00edv za \u00fa\u010delom pestovania trv\u00e1cnej\u0161\u00edch rastl\u00edn v kvetin\u00e1\u010doch.<\/p>\n<p>\u010eal\u0161ia ve\u013ek\u00e1 zmena t\u00fdkaj\u00faca sa substr\u00e1tov na pestovanie v kvetin\u00e1\u010doch nastala v 50. a 60. rokoch 20. storo\u010dia, ke\u010f sa za\u010dali pou\u017e\u00edva\u0165 v\u0161etky ra\u0161elinov\u00e9 zmesi, \u010do prinieslo mno\u017estvo zmien v zavla\u017eovacom re\u017eime, v prid\u00e1van\u00ed hnoj\u00edv do zmes\u00ed aj v n\u00e1slednom prihnojovan\u00ed. Navy\u0161e sa objavili komplik\u00e1cie s interpret\u00e1ciou analytick\u00fdch v\u00fdsledkov. Zmesi mali v\u00fdrazne ni\u017e\u0161iu hustotu a schopnos\u0165 op\u00e4tovn\u00e9ho zvlh\u010denia bola v porovnan\u00ed so zmesami obsahuj\u00facimi zeminu a piesok \u010dasto problematick\u00e1. Niektor\u00e9 odvetvia, ako napr\u00edklad pestovatelia \u201ebobu\u013eov\u00e9ho ovocia\u201d, za\u010dali od za\u010diatku roku 2000 up\u00fa\u0161\u0165a\u0165 od ra\u0161elinov\u00fdch substr\u00e1tov a za\u010dali na pestovanie ovocia pou\u017e\u00edva\u0165 najm\u00e4 jutov\u00e9 vrecia a vani\u010dky, \u010do sa im aj osved\u010dilo. Paradajky, paprika a uhorky pre\u0161li na semi-hydroponick\u00e9 syst\u00e9my u\u017e pred mnoh\u00fdmi rokmi. Medzi hlavn\u00e9 odvetvia, ktor\u00e9 e\u0161te st\u00e1le pomal\u00fdm tempom prech\u00e1dzaj\u00fa na bezra\u0161elinov\u00e9 substr\u00e1ty, patria pestovatelia okrasn\u00fdch \u010drepn\u00edkov\u00fdch rastl\u00edn a niektor\u00e9 rastliny pestovan\u00e9 vo vyv\u00fd\u0161en\u00fdch z\u00e1honoch, ako s\u00fa napr\u00edklad zeleninov\u00e9 sadenice. Okrem toho sa v hub\u00e1rskom priemysle ra\u0161elina st\u00e1le naj\u010dastej\u0161ie pou\u017e\u00edva ako \u201eobalov\u00e1\u201d vrstva na substr\u00e1t, ktor\u00e1 umo\u017e\u0148uje hub\u00e1m sa rozmno\u017eova\u0165.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8220;&#8220;]Ot\u00e1zka, na ktor\u00fa si je potrebn\u00e9 odpoveda\u0165, je, pre\u010do je ra\u0161elina tak\u00e1 \u00faspe\u0161n\u00e1 a \u010do s\u00fa skuto\u010dn\u00e9 v\u00fdzvy v procese prechodu na in\u00e9 alternat\u00edvy? V\u00fdsledkom tohto procesu je, \u017ee po vy\u0165a\u017een\u00ed ra\u0161eliny z ra\u0161elin\u00edsk a n\u00e1slednom vysu\u0161en\u00ed na povrchu, doch\u00e1dza k uvo\u013e\u0148ovaniu CO2 z rozkladaj\u00facich sa materi\u00e1lov pr\u00edtomn\u00fdch v procese a vzniknut\u00e9 rastlinn\u00e9 zvy\u0161ky pripom\u00ednaj\u00fa p\u00f4vodn\u00fd rastlinn\u00fd materi\u00e1l, ale v skuto\u010dnosti ide o zakonzervovan\u00e9\/stabilizovan\u00e9 zvy\u0161ky. V\u010faka vlastnostiam, ktor\u00e9 prebiehali v bahne, zost\u00e1va rastlina ve\u013emi stabiln\u00e1 vo\u010di \u010fal\u0161ej degrad\u00e1cii a dod\u00e1va materi\u00e1lu n\u00edzke pH.
