[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]For 20 years the <\/span><\/span>Stars for Europe (<\/span>SfE<\/span>) <\/span><\/span>initiative has been supporting poinsettia sales across Europe<\/span> through PR and marketing,<\/span> while its sister campaign<\/span>,<\/span> <\/span>Pelargonium for Europe (<\/span>PfE<\/span>)<\/span>,<\/span><\/span> launched in 2016 to do the same <\/span>for <\/span>.<\/span> The campaigns are active each year in 22 European countries, funded by industry royalties.<\/span> Over previous years, <\/span>they<\/span> have <\/span>won<\/span> EU funding as solo projects, allowing <\/span>greatly increased<\/span> activities and impact in target countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Thanks to winning <\/span>a<\/span> pelargoniums<\/span>\u00a0new round<\/span> of EU funding,<\/span> for the first time,<\/span> 2023 <\/span>s<\/span>ees<\/span> the launch of a combined <\/span>PfE<\/span> and <\/span>SfE<\/span> EU campaign<\/span> worth around 1 million Euros. It<\/span> target<\/span>s<\/span> six new Eastern European countries<\/span> for the first time<\/span>: <\/span><\/span>Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, <\/span><\/span>and<\/span><\/span> Slovakia.<\/span> <\/span>The new campaign run<\/span>s<\/span> for three years, from <\/span><\/span>1 March 2023 to 28 February 2026.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The project<\/span> aim<\/span>s<\/span> to promote and secure long term poinsettia and pelargonium sales <\/span>by targeting end-consumers and supporting the green trade.
